When I was learning how to use my camera and trying to work out what my ‘voice’ is, I spent a lot of time at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, in the National Orchid Garden, taking thousands of pictures of the plants to try and work out what worked.

It gave me a love of the tiny things, like new leaves unfurling or beads of water on the hairs of the slipper orchids, and the smaller, more intricate orchids. It blows my mind to realise that each one is perfectly designed by nature for a specific reason, as the variety is infinite.
