Lighthouses of Iceland
There are lighthouses all over Iceland, and they are (for obvious reasons), in dramatic places.
However, low cloud and poor weather meant I often drove right past them without being able to see them, and it was hard to get some good shots.
The orange ones are my favourites. They really stand out against the dark rocks in bad weather. I know this is the intention, but still…
Settings and Approach
50 mm lens
Aperture Priority, set to f/22 or f/3.5 depending on light conditions
Challenges: Often difficult to be in the right place at the right time for the light direction due to location of the lighthouse, and the inability to move around it to get the light direction.
